About Greg Laurie

Greg Laurie is the Senior Pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship with campuses in California and Hawaii.

He began his pastoral ministry at the age of 19 by leading a Bible study of 30 people. Since then, God has transformed that small group into one of the largest churches in America.

In 1990, Greg Laurie began holding large-scale public evangelistic events called Harvest Crusades. Since that time, more than 9.8 million people have participated in Harvest Crusades events in person or online around the world.

In 2012, Laurie launched Harvest America, a nationwide event using the internet to simulcast live HD video to thousands of locations across the country. 

In 2020, in partnership with Kingdom Story Company, Laurie premiered his first-ever cinematic crusade, A Rush of Hope, viewed by over two million people in its opening weekend.

Laurie has authored over 70 books including Lennon, Dylan, Alice, & Jesus; Billy Graham: The Man I Knew, Johnny Cash: The Redemption of an American Icon, Jesus Revolution, Steve McQueen: The Salvation of an American Icon, Live Love Fight, Tell Someone, The New Believer’s Bible, Hope for Hurting Hearts, and his autobiography, Lost Boy. The accompanying documentary film, Lost Boy: The Next Chapter, won eight awards at international film festivals. His 2013 film, Hope for Hurting Hearts features his story of trusting God through tragedy. His most recent film, Steve McQueen: American Icon, features the story of the famed actor finding salvation in Christ.

Greg has been married to Cathe Laurie for almost 50 years and has two sons, Christopher and Jonathan. Christopher went to be with the Lord in 2008. Greg and Cathe also have five grandchildren.

About the Luttrells

Laura Luttrell is a loving wife and homemaker. She and her husband, D. Scott Luttrell, are parents to two amazing adult children and grandparents to three perfect grandchildren. Laura’s volunteer passions over the years have been focused on programs for children, literacy, pro-life advocacy, crisis pregnancy counseling, short-term mission trips and Kingdom generosity. Laura has been an active and valued Trustee of The Light Foundation since its founding in 1997.

Laura graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She did her student teaching at Highland Park Middle School and then became a teacher and Title 1 Reading Specialist in the western suburbs of Chicago until their first child was born in 1984. Laura’s passion for working with children has led to her serving in Children’s Ministry at Watermark Church and leading VBS on short term mission trips to Honduras.

D. Scott Luttrell is Founder and Chairman of LCM Group, an investment firm that he has led as CEO for 35 years. Scott founded LCM Group in 1988 out of his desire to focus on the growing investment opportunities in the hedge fund, private equity, private real estate and venture capital sectors.

Through the years, Scott has served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of various financial institutions and private equity companies. Scott also served on the Board of Trustees and was Chairman of the Investment Committee for the New York City based YMCA Retirement Fund.

He currently serves as Chairman of East-West Ministries. Scott is also on the Board of Directors of Helping Others Internationally and Watermark Community Development Corporation. He serves on the Advisory Boards of Council for Life and Denison Ministries and is Founder, President and Trustee of The Light Foundation.

Scott received his degree in Business Administration/Finance in 1977 from Southern Methodist University. In 2001, Scott attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program in Corporate Governance.

Laura and Scott have been married for 46 years and are active members of Watermark Community Church.
